How do I use the Tag Separator?
Paste your tags into the input box (comma, semicolon, pipe, newline or space separated). Click Separate tags to convert them into an editable list where each tag appears on its own line. Edit, delete, copy or download the final list as needed.
Is my data private?
Yes. All processing happens in your browser — no tags, files, or input values are sent to any server. The tool is 100% client-side and works offline once the page is loaded.
What separators are supported?
This tool supports commas, semicolons, pipes (|), slashes, backslashes, new lines and multiple spaces. It trims whitespace and ignores empty values for a clean tag list.
Can I remove duplicate tags?
Yes — click the Remove duplicates button to keep only the first occurrence of each tag (comparison is case-insensitive).
How do I copy or download my tags?
Use Copy output or Copy all tags to copy to your clipboard (the button temporarily shows 'Copied!'). For a file, click Download .txt to save a plain text file of your tags.
Why are there no tags shown by default?
The page intentionally loads with an empty input to prevent accidental publishing of tags. Click Separate tags after pasting your tags to generate the editable output.
Can I edit tags after separation?
Absolutely — each tag becomes an inline editable input. Click any tag to modify it, or use the ✖ button to remove it. You can also delete all tags in the input or output using the delete-all buttons.
Does the tool check YouTube tag limits?
The tool shows a character counter for your input and warns visually if you exceed a typical YouTube input limit (500 characters). It does not automatically enforce limits per tag — you can manually edit tags to comply with platform rules.
